View the standard risk reports, generate a PDF for a chosen scope, and take RMS documents through review and approval.

View the standard reports

Product location: /rms/reports. Open Reports under Analysis.

Open Reports under Analysis. Canonical reports are built from your default methodology's report templates. Select a card to show the report on the page. The usual set is:

Report

What it shows

Risk Register Report

The register with scores, levels and status.

Heatmap

Risks placed on a likelihood-by-impact grid with level colours.

Treatment Plan

Risks with a Medium or higher inherent level and their treatment proposals.

Acceptance Log

Risks with a Medium or higher residual level and their acceptance documentation.

If a report shows no data, score and treat some risks first. Some sections are produced live from the register when you open them.

The reports cover the whole register. If some risks cannot be loaded, the report says so: This report does not cover the whole register. Some risks could not be loaded, so treat the totals below as partial.

Generate a PDF report

Product location: /rms/reports. Open Reports under Analysis.

Under Generate report:

  1. Enter a Report title. The default is “RMS Risk Report” with today's date.

  2. Choose the View scope: All risks, or one of your saved register views; see saved views.

  3. Choose the Risk lifecycle scope: Active risks (default), Obsolete risks, Deleted risks or All risks.

  4. Optionally limit by Created on or after and Created on or before.

  5. Choose Generate PDF.

The PDF contains a cover, an executive summary, a risk overview with totals and overdue actions, risks by level before and after controls, a 30-day creation trend, the ten highest-scoring risks, and each risk's score breakdown and mitigating actions.

Small reports are ready at once: Report generated and ready to download. Larger reports, by default those covering more than 500 risks, are queued: Report queued. We will let you know when it is ready. When a queued report finishes, you receive a notification, Report ready: or Report failed: followed by the report title, with Open Reports. Its row in Generated reports shows Generating until the report is Ready or Failed; choose Refresh to update the list.

In Generated reports, Download retrieves a ready PDF and Delete removes a report after confirmation. Generating and downloading reports needs the Export reports permission. Use a saved view to report on exactly the subset a meeting needs, for example the Critical and High residual risks of one domain.

Work with RMS documents

Product location: /rms/documents. Open Documents under Analysis and select a document.

The document page shows its status and offers Export PDF, Export Word and Open editor. Methodology: names the methodology the document was built from; choose the name to open it under Methodologies, where it is highlighted. Move the document through review with the status buttons:

Open editor opens the same document editor as Quality documents, with the AI assistant, tracked changes, comments, section review, version history, diagrams and document properties. See edit, review and export documents. A section built from live register data shows the query behind it. You can change which risks and columns that section includes.
