Answer questions, manage drafts and conditional values, and verify the saved response and its outputs.
Open the form from the work you are carrying out, such as a QMS review or assessment. The form collects answers; its surrounding workflow determines what the resulting record is used for.
Product location: /qms/{standardCode}/forms (fallback: /qms/standards). Open the intended form. Use My Drafts to resume or Form Submissions to inspect the saved result.
Read the title, purpose and any instructions before entering answers. Check that the form belongs to the intended standard, document or work item. Follow any displayed prerequisite, including required training, before starting the response.
For an illustrated QMS walkthrough, use complete a standard form. The standard's catalogue also provides access to drafts and submitted responses according to your permissions.

Enter the requested information and follow the help text for units, formats and supporting explanations. Review any pre-filled answers before relying on them. A placeholder disappears when you enter a value; it is only an example.
Use the offered choices for selection fields. For an entity picker, search for and select the actual person or record rather than entering a similar name elsewhere. If a choice list fails to load, use its retry action and confirm that you can access the underlying records.
Calculated results update from their inputs and are read-only. Correct the input questions if the result is unexpected. See field types for the input controls you may encounter.

Expand a folded section to view its questions. In a wizard, complete the current step and use Next. Follow the configured navigation controls when returning to an earlier step.
For a repeating group, add one entry for each item requested and complete that entry's questions. Read the entry name carefully before removing it, and review the confirmation where shown. Check required questions in every entry, including entries below the initially visible area.
The progress display helps locate work still to do. Review the answers themselves before the final submission.

A follow-up question can appear when an earlier answer makes it relevant. Complete it when visible and required. If an earlier answer changes so the follow-up disappears, its existing answer is kept for possible further editing.
If the question becomes visible again, review the restored answer. While it remains hidden, that answer is excluded from submission and automatic output processing. Hidden required questions do not prevent completion.

When Save Draft is available, use it to save a resumable response in ComplyTrain. Wait for confirmation. Reopen the saved draft from the form's drafts list to continue, including on another device.
The leave-page dialog can offer to retain typed values on the current device. Check whether you need a server-side saved draft before leaving. See draft recovery for the saved-draft list, local recovery, leaving and discarding.
On resuming, review the answers, current choices, conditions and any changed form instructions. Saving a draft preserves work in progress; it does not submit the response or trigger its submission outputs.

Validation may appear while typing, after leaving a field or when submitting, according to the form settings. Follow the highlighted question and its message. Check missing required answers, numeric bounds, text formats and required repeating entries.
Expand or return to the relevant section when the question is elsewhere in the form. A calculation error requires reviewing its inputs or asking the form owner to review its definition; do not treat the missing result as zero.

Review the completed form and choose its submit action, normally Submit Form. Wait for the result. If validation identifies a problem, correct that answer and submit again.
If the form says the record it creates has to be signed, you are not asked to sign in the form; the record is signed afterwards through its own approval steps.
Check the confirmation and open the saved response when available. Review its submission time, respondent and answers. The QMS submission review guide explains the history and detail views.

A configured submission can create a record, CAPA, task or risk; link evidence; request approval; or send a notification or webhook. Review the recorded outcome of each action and open the resulting work item where available.
If approval is pending, the dependent actions in that rule wait according to its configuration. The confirmation lists the approval as Awaiting approval and each held action as Waits for the approval decision; these are waiting states, not failures. If an output fails, give the responsible administrator the submission and action details so they can investigate that specific result. Check the existing submission before submitting the entire form again, which could create another response and another set of outputs.
