Build a timeline from live work or start with an empty project.
Create the project
Product location: /planner. Choose New project or open the intended project.
Open Planner, then New project. Enter a name and unique short code using lower-case letters, digits and hyphens. Set the Start date, which acts as day zero for calculated dates.
Choose Build it from what we already know to seed phases, milestones and linked work from live standards, gap analysis and open actions. Select at least one standard for this mode. Only selected standards contribute their scoped work; work with no standard can still be included.
Turn the option off to begin with an empty project. The standards selection records what the project answers for; it does not prevent later additions outside that list.
Review the initial plan
Product location: /planner/{planId}/timeline (fallback: /planner)
Open Overview, Timeline, Mindmap or Board to inspect the generated structure. Check ownership, dependencies, durations and target milestones before relying on the calculated dates.
The start date affects the whole calculated schedule. Move it deliberately and use Recalculate schedule to inspect the consequence.
Track real work
Product location: /planner/{planId}/board (fallback: /planner)
Linked work reads progress from its owning module. Investigate broken links and disagreements between a plan's date and the source record's date. Do not assume moving a visual plan item updates every source record.
The progress indicator shows its calculation time and can be stale while recalculating. Use the current project state when preparing a status report.
