Choose the markets, matching rules and people for a news summary.

Define the watch

Product location: /media-monitoring/watches. Add or open the intended watch.

Open Media Monitoring, then Market watches and Add watch. Choose at least one market and the industries relevant to the audience. Available watch, market and industry counts depend on your plan.

Select topics using ordinary terms that match the analysis categories. Leaving all topics unticked includes everything found for the selected industries; it does not pause the watch.

Refine matching

Product location: /media-monitoring/watches. Add or open the intended watch.

Use Extra words to match for additional inclusion matches. An article matching any of these can be included even if other criteria did not match. Words to ignore exclude an article regardless of other matches.

Choose the amount to include and the language, or inherit the usual summary settings. Give the watch a recognisable name when the automatically described scope is not enough.

Set the audience and save

Product location: /media-monitoring/watches. Add or open the intended watch.

Select the people who should receive this watch. A watch with no audience delivers to nobody. Save and inspect both its scope and audience; a partial-save message can mean the watch settings saved but recipient changes failed.

A market with no sources cannot deliver matching articles yet. Use the source-suggestion or coverage-request action and track its review state. Pausing a watch stops following it; deletion retains already-sent summaries but removes the watch and its settings.
