Review the document and confirm the meaning of a required electronic signature.
Prepare your signing credential
Product location: /settings/security/credentials. Use the document-signing credential setup offered to your account.
Some workflow transitions require a signature. Configure the signing credential through the security setup offered by the interface. A login passkey and a document-signing credential are separate purposes; being signed in does not bypass signature confirmation.
Perform the action
Product location: /document-vault/vaults/{vaultId}/documents/{documentId} (fallback: /document-vault/vaults). Open the named document action or tab.
Open the intended document and check its current version and state.
Select the required workflow action.
Read the requested signature meaning and destination state.
Enter any required comment and reason, and complete the requested signing confirmation.
Finish the action and inspect the resulting workflow state and history.
Use the authenticator or signing-password method supported by your organisation. If a browser prompt is cancelled, do not assume the action completed; check the document before retrying.
Investigate a failed signature
Product location: /document-vault/vaults/{vaultId}/documents/{documentId} (fallback: /document-vault/vaults). Open the named document action or tab.
Confirm that a signing credential is registered and available on the device you are using. Inspect expiry, permission or credential errors and follow the specific recovery action offered. Ask the administrator to resolve missing authorisation rather than trying a different workflow action to avoid the signature.
The history and signature record document the recorded event. Their existence does not establish that the signer reviewed the correct content; checking the identity and version before signing is part of the user's task.
