Identify document languages, correct metadata, navigate linked editions and share the right product location.
Use the document editor's language menu to identify the language of a document and open its related language editions. Each translation has its own document URL and content, linked to the original source.

Open the QMS standard and the intended document.
Open its document editor.
Select the flag and language name at the right of the document toolbar, such as English. On an approved, locked document, the same control is at the right of the read-only banner.
Check Document language, the Translations list and, on a translated document, Translation of.
The number beside the toolbar language counts linked translations. Open the menu to see each language's processing and review state. When a source has no translations, No translations yet identifies the starting point for creating its first language edition.

For example, you can use English product controls while reading a Danish procedure. The document language describes the content; the account language describes your interface.
The document-language selector offers English, Danish, German, Spanish, Finnish, French, Polish, Swedish and Ukrainian. Choose the language that matches the document's actual content.

Use this when a document is already written in a language but its language tag is incorrect.
Save any pending content changes.
Open the document language menu.
Select the correct language under Document language.
Wait for the update, reopen the menu and confirm the selected language.
Reopen the document to check that the saved tag is retained.
On an approved, locked document the language cannot be changed. The menu says This document is approved and locked, so its language cannot change. Its translations can still be opened and maintained.
Changing this metadata identifies the existing content. To produce another language edition, follow Create and monitor document translations.
A saved source metadata change can advance its version. Check the linked translations' synchronization state and include relevant metadata in their next review. For an approved source, use the document's revision workflow when correcting source metadata.

Start each additional language from the original source. This keeps the language editions associated with the same document and makes later source-change review easier.
On the source, Translations lists its language editions. On a translation, Translation of identifies the original. Check that original's name before editing or reviewing the translation, especially when several procedures have similar titles.
Use the source menu to find an existing edition in the language you need. Use Create translation when adding a new language. Choose the target language for the relationship when creating that edition; maintain its document tag consistently with that choice.

Save work in the document you are leaving.
Open the source document's language menu.
Select the intended translation's language/name row.
Confirm the opened document's title and language.
To return, open its language menu and select the original under Translation of.
The source and translation use the same editor route pattern with different document identifiers. A translation may carry a language suffix in its name, such as Calibration verification procedure (da). Use the relationship and language together to identify it.

Copy the URL of the document the other person should open. Use the source URL when asking someone to assess language coverage or manage review; use the translation URL when asking them to read or edit that language's content.
The product locations in this manual are relative to the current ComplyTrain tenant. Replace the standard and document placeholders with the accessible record's identifiers. If you do not know the translation identifier, open the source and select the translation from its language menu.

View documents or Manage documents in the relevant QMS scope provides document reading access. Use a role with Manage documents for language metadata and translation maintenance.
Reading a language edition and changing its content are separate operations. Navigate available translations from the source when reviewing a controlled document. Keep the approved source intact while maintaining its translation relationship; revise the source through its normal workflow when the source content itself needs changing.

If loading is interrupted, retry and confirm the saved language and translation rows before continuing.
For an update conflict, reread the current document and apply the correction still needed. For an access problem, ask the QMS administrator to check your scoped permissions; include the document URL and intended action.
